What is Morpheus 8?
Morpheus8 is a device which offers both RF technology alongside fractional micro pins. When it is applied to the skin, the micro pins create trauma to the skin and RF heat energy is transported to the deeper layers of the dermis. The dermis is where substances such as collagen and elastin are produced.
During the treatment, a natural healing response stimulates new, healthy collagen and elastin. How long do results last?

How many treatments will I need?
Depending on your individual skin concern, a course of between 1 and 3 sessions is usually recommended.
Why should someone have this treatment?
Morpheus8 is a non-surgical and highly-effective treatment which can offer results that last years. It can treat a variety of skin concerns and uses the very latest in RF technology for clinically-proven outcomes.
What happens during treatment?
Prior to the procedure, a topical anaesthetic will be applied to your skin to ensure you are comfortable throughout the treatment. After around 30 to 45 minutes, your skin should then be numb. When you are fully comfortable, your practitioner will pass the Morpheus8 hand-held device head across your skin, on the areas of concern. At this point you may feel a tingling and heat on the skin which is completely normal. A full treatment (not including the numbing period) takes around 30 minutes.
Does it hurt?
You will feel a slight tingling and warming of the skin during this treatment. However, as you will have a topical anaesthetic applied beforehand, this is very bearable and should not be painful at all.
Am I suitable for Morpheus8?
As Morpheus8 is a non-invasive and non-surgical treatment, most patients with mild to moderately ageing skin will benefit. However, in a pre-treatment consultation, your practitioner will assess your skin condition, will check your medical history as well as your general health and discuss your expectations for results. They will then decide if the procedure will be both a suitable and effective treatment for you.
When will I see the results from Morpheus 8?
Some results can be seen after just 1 treatment, however, for optimum and longer term results, we advise on a course of treatment. The number of recommended sessions in your course will be discussed in your pre-treatment consultation with your chosen practitioner.
Are there any contraindications to Morpheus8?
- Pacemaker or internal defibrillator
- Any metallic or electronic implants in the body
- Cochlear implants (please inform your practitioner)
- Permanent implants in the treated areas (metal plates, screws, metal piercing, silicon)
- Current history of skin cancer or any type of cancer
- Pre-malignant moles
- Pregnancy and nursing
- Severe concurrent conditions such as cardiac disorders or sensory disturbances
- Impaired immune system due to immunosuppressive diseases (such as AIDS and HIV) – the use of immunosuppressive medication
- Botox, HA dermal fillers, collagen or fat injections (please inform your practitioner of when you had these treatments as Morpheus8 can still be administered after selected time-frames)
