What is Forma?
As part of the InMode aesthetic device portfolio, Forma is a non-invasive system which, when applied to the skin, emits RF heating technology to provide optimum skin contraction within the deeper layers of your skin. The RF energy helps to stimulate the formation of new collagen, a substance which depletes as we age and is responsible for tight, youthful and toned skin. This collagen production improves skin elasticity and resilience.
Which conditions can be treated with Forma?
- Mild to advanced skin ageing (patients from 20 to 80 can have a Forma treatment)
- Sagging skin, jowls, turkey neck
- Lines and wrinkles
- Dull, dehydrated skin
- Skin which lacks contour around the facial skeleton
Are there any contraindications to Forma?
Forma is a very safe and non-surgical procedure. Therefore there are few contraindications. It is FDA-approved and safe to use on any skin type. It is also much safer than typically invasive surgical procedures. However, it is important to discuss your medical history at your pre-treatment consultation, with your practitioner, to ensure you are able to have a Forma treatment safely and with no medical side-effects.

When will I see the results from my Forma treatment?
Some results can be seen after just 1 treatment, however, for optimum and longer-term results, we advise on a course of treatment.
With just one session of Forma, results will last for a few weeks. However, with a series of sessions and yearly maintenance, results can last up to 4 years. Along with your Forma treatments, it’s important to maintain a healthy skincare regime at home and to take in to consideration that the ageing process is continuous and cannot be stopped or reversed by this procedure. Having realistic goals and expectations will help you to obtain and maintain the very best results possible for your age, skin quality and lifestyle.
Depending on your individual skin concern, a course of 6 initial sessions are performed at weekly intervals. Clients with mild skin laxity may require fewer sessions with more weeks between each one. The scheduling of your treatment sessions will be discussed at your pre-treatment consultation.
Forma is a non-invasive and non-ablative skin treatment which can significantly reduce the signs of ageing for up to 4 years with a course of treatment. It is suitable for both men and women and all skin types.
Forma is considered by many of our patients to be a very calming and relaxing treatment, leaving you feeling rejuvenated once its complete. During your treatment, a cool conductive gel will be applied to the area of concern. Your practitioner will then glide the precision application head over the selected area in small massaging passes, focusing on target areas until it reaches and maintains a specific temperature. You will feel the heat, but it shouldn’t be too uncomfortable. After the treatment, your practitioner will apply a cool towel or pad on to the treatment area to wash away the gel and to soothe the skin. They may also apply a moisturiser and an SPF sunscreen. The RF penetrates the skin and heats the deep layers. The temperature gauge on the Forma device head ensures that no area is under or over treated. On average, a Forma treatment takes around 30 to 45 minutes per body part. Face and neck treatments can take around 45 to 60 minutes each and have targeted heat points that are reached and maintained during this procedure.
While Forma does heat up to around 190 degrees, it is considered a pain-free treatment. This is due to the precise technology and deep layer targeting of the skin. Many patients comment that it feels like a hot stone massage. If you are particularly sensitive, a numbing gel can be applied beforehand, but in most cases, this is not necessary
