What is Fractora?
Fractora is a hand-held device which utilizes fractional radio-frequency energy to heat the lower layers of the skin, causing a healing response and the stimulation of collagen and elastin within the dermis. The skin is gently heated by placing a small probe device against its surface. The RF energy is passed through a series of very small bipolar pins which as well as heating the lower layers of the skin, causes tiny pin-pricks, which the body responds to with the healing response required to increase collagen and elastin. This helps the Fractora treatment penetrate deeper in to the skin for a more effective result as well as more comfort for you.
As a topical or injectable anaesthetic will be used, prior to treatment, Fractora should not be painful. However, you may experience some heat sensation or tingling on the skin as the device head is passed across your skin. This warm sensation may continue for a few hours afterwards but this is completely normal.
