Dermal filler injectables are a minimally-invasive, non-surgical treatment..
Dermal fillers gently soften lines and wrinkles, adding volume and definition to lips, reshaping the chin and nose, rejuvenating aged hands and filling out hollows.
The result is smoother and more youthful, supple and toned-looking skin.
Recovery time following dermal filler injections is short and you will be able to continue your normal life after the procedure with little or no disruption.
The results of the treatment are shown to last up to a year.

This means that Juvederm flows easily into the skin, for a natural look and feel. The solution is moulded to your facial contours, giving you the most natural facial shaping.

To help you look and feel younger, visit Pure Perfection Clinic and leave without the pain or the expense of surgery.
Before any treatment, you will receive a consultation.
During the consultation, Sara will ask you about your medical history and your expectations of the treatment, before discussing the recommended procedures. She will help you identify your goals and help you to feel in total control of your treatment programme. This is where the Pure Perfection service stands out from other clinics in the surrounding areas.
During the consultation, you will complete a medical assessment and sign a consent form prior to the treatment stage.
During the treatment
The dermal filler is injected into the skin in small amounts using a very fine needle.
The gel provides natural volume to smooth away the appearance of lines and wrinkles, enhance facial shape, or create fuller lips. Dermal fillers improve the elasticity and texture of skin, restoring and maintaining the skin’s hydration.
The treatment is relatively quick, typically taking about 30-60 minutes.
After the treatment
Dermal fillers are biodegradable, which means they will naturally disappear in the body.
To ensure an optimal and long lasting result, a top-up treatment is recommended up to one year after your initial dermal filler treatment.
This will discuss during the consultation with our practitioner, and a follow-up appointment can be arranged.
After your dermal filler treatment, your skin will be firmer, hydrated and restored with a younger and fresher look.
Treatments with dermal fillers do not affect facial expression and the benefits can normally be seen instantly.
A natural look is achieved by restoring, smoothing, enhancing and improving your elasticity for a beautiful you. We subtly enhance what nature has given you to you, plus an added boost to your confidence.

Top FAQs about dermal fillers
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are an injectable substance made from natural and synthetic material and have been developed for injections into the skin to restore its youthful appearance.
The main type of dermal fillers in the market is a soft gel consisting of stabilized, non-animal hyaluronic acid. The gel is tissue-friendly and closely resembles the hyaluronic acid that exists naturally in the body. It is long-lasting but not permanent.
Over 30 million people across the world have been successfully treated with dermal fillers.
What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occurring substance found in the body that helps to hydrate and add volume to our skin.
Natural hyaluronic acid is broken down by the body in one or two days, so is constantly replaced. As we age this replacement mechanism diminishes and the moisturising and plumping effects of hyaluronic acid decrease.
Hyaluronic acid is used for aesthetic treatments, and has also been used for injection into arthritic joints to aid movement as well as eye surgery.
What are the benefits of dermal fillers?
A treatment with dermal fillers provides an easy way to enhance your looks.
The result of a single treatment can be seen instantly and will last around one year for facial treatments and around six months for the lips.
With dermal fillers you will achieve a natural-looking result that does not affect your facial expression.
Remember your face changes over time, and dermal filler treatments allow you to control your looks subtly as you age.
What are the risks of dermal fillers?
All skin injection procedures carry a small risk of infection, but with dermal fillers product-related reactions are rare.
Injection-related reactions may occur after dermal filler treatments, but usually they resolve spontaneously after a few days (for injections in the skin) or within a week (for injections into the lips).
These reactions include redness, swelling, pain, itching, bruising or tenderness at the injection site.
After lip enhancement, lips may swell for up to a week, but this typically reduces after two to three days.
In case of more pronounced reactions, or if they last longer than a week, please contact our practitioner.
You should discuss side effects and post treatment reactions with our practitioner during consultation.
What areas can be treated with dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers can be used to smooth away facial lines and wrinkles, create fuller lips, shape facial contours and revitalise the skin.
The most common areas treated are lips, glabellar (frown) lines, forehead, chin, cheeks, tear trough (under-eye), jaw line, temples along with full facial lift.
How long will my appointment take?
The injection process takes around 30 to 60 minutes.
Do dermal fillers need pain relief?
Generally, pain relief is not necessary when injecting into the skin to correct lines and wrinkles.
Some people may experience the treatment as a mild discomfort. A local anaesthetic cream can be applied to the area for a more comfortable treatment experience.
The lips are a highly sensitive part of the body and, therefore a topical anaesthetic cream is usually recommended before lip enhancement.
Will I notice an immediate result after dermal fillers?
Yes, the aesthetic results are immediate.
You’ll see the results as soon as your appointment is over—and no one else needs to know!
We will invite you back for a follow-up appointment around 2 to 3 weeks post-treatment, to make sure you are happy with the results.
What is the aftercare advice following dermal fillers?
Immediately after the treatment, it is quite normal for there to be slight redness and tenderness around the treatment area. These signs usually disappear in a few days – but please contact us if they persist for longer.
We recommend that you do not use any makeup for 12 hours following the treatment, and that you avoid extended exposure to the sun (or any UV light) and temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius.
We also recommend that:
- you do not enter a sauna or similar environment for two weeks following treatment
- you seek the advice of our nurse if you have suffered from facial cold sores, because the needlepoint may cause another outbreak
- if you are taking aspirin, high doses of Vitamin C or any other anti-coagulants, you discuss this with us during your consultation for the treatment, as the risks of bruising and bleeding may be higher
- you don’t drink anything too hot or cold (especially if you have had a lip treatment)
- you only use perfume-free moisturiser if you have dry skin, mild swelling, bruising or redness in the injection sites.
