Help to reduce signs of ageing in your skin by following these simple tips from ZO Skin Health
Do not sunbathe
Getting a tan from the sun or a tanning bed exposes you to harmful UV rays.
Excessive exposure to UV light can accelerate ageing skin, which leads to wrinkles, age spots, a blotchy complexion (pigmentation) and even skin cancer.
So take care of your skin – why not apply a self-tanner cream to achieve a summer glow the safe way?
Stop using products that sting or burn
Unless – of course – they are prescribed by a medically-trained skin specialist like Sara and other members of the team at Pure Perfection Clinic.
Irritating the skin makes signs of ageing more noticeable. Some anti-aging products prescribed by a skin specialist may burn or sting.
When using a prescription anti-ageing product, this can be okay. Just be sure to let your skin specialist know.
Use skincare products as directed
Active ingredients can do more harm than good when too much is used.

If you smoke, stop!
Apart from the countless health complications attributed to smoking, it can also greatly speed up the rate that your skin ages.
Smoking can cause premature facial ageing with increased lines and wrinkles as well as a dull, sallow complexion.
The Ossentials Stimulator Peel is now sometimes better known by its nickname “Red Carpet Peel”. It got its name because of the number of celebrities that visit Dr Obagi’s office in LA for this particular peel before their red carpet events. Also known as the “Lunchtime Peel” because there is no recovery time needed afterwards and there is …
The Pure Perfection Clinic team are experts when it comes to the ageing process, anti-ageing treatments and the psychological changes of ageing, and we’re more than happy to share our secrets!
We all know that as we get older the skin on our face begins to sag and wrinkles start to form, but do you know why this is? And, more significantly, do you know how we can slow and improve the signs of ageing?
Age, lifestyle and the environment all take their toll on our skin. Getting older means our collagen and elastin levels deplete, leading to wrinkles and sagging skin, while poor diet and exposure to pollution and harsh weather conditions damage our skin’s protective barrier. Having a good skincare routine while protecting your skin from the sun …
