Excess hair, age spots and milia all have one thing in common – we’d rather they weren’t on our skin. At Pure Perfection Clinic, we offer both electrolysis hair removal and advanced electrolysis treatments, which are the ideal procedure to leave your skin feeling smoother this summer. This option is a long-term solution to undesired hair, skin lesions, age spots and many skin intrusions, which will make you feel more comfortable and less self-conscious – helping you to enjoy life to the full.
What Is Electrolysis Hair Removal?
The electrolysis hair removal procedure works by inserting a hand-held device with a fine needle into the skin. Shortwave radio frequencies are then used to stop new hair growth, as well as future hair growth. It also causes existing hairs to fall out, meaning you can soon expect smoother skin. As a result of the nature of this procedure, we would always recommend a consultation prior to treatment so that a patch test can be done. As well as this, we might suggest an alternative option, depending on the nature of the hair you’re looking to treat.
While electrolysis hair removal is suitable for most people, there are some instances where the procedure is not advised. For example, if you have skin cancer, or if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.
What About Advanced Electrolysis?
As well as electrolysis hair removal, we also offer advanced electrolysis treatments at Pure Perfection. We would perform advanced electrolysis treatments on several common concerns including thread veins, age spots, milia, skin tags and sebaceous cysts. Some of these things cannot be helped and often appear with age, but that certainly doesn’t mean you should have to put up with them.
At Pure Perfection Clinic, we use reliable and well-designed Sterex devices in all our advanced electrolysis treatments. During these procedures, one of our team will target each lesion independently to deliver the best results. This process is very quick, however, if you’re looking to target multiple areas, your treatment may take longer but the results will be worth it.
As with electrolysis hair removal, several other factors may also leave you unsuitable for treatment, these include: having epilepsy, being pregnant or if you have recently had a sunburn on the area you wish to treat. Unsure if electrolysis is right for you? Our knowledgeable and professional team will be able to advise you on the best course of action for your concerns. After all, they’re here to help you!
Don’t forget, if you notice moles that change colour or size, lesions with irregular borders, painful moles or lesions or darker areas on your skin that were not there before then please seek a doctor’s advice.
