If you want to improve your skin quality in the gentlest way possible, then LED light therapy is a must! Also known as photo biomodulation, LED is a non-invasive treatment that uses different wavelengths of light to address various skin conditions.
It can reduce lines and wrinkles, encourage firm skin, create a more even complexion, and treat multiple skin conditions, such as acne, rosacea and psoriasis.
Here at Pure Perfection Clinic, we use the award-winning Dermalux LED. Let’s take a closer look at what it can do for you…
How Does LED Light Therapy Work?
LED light therapy works by delivering wavelengths of light to the skin and tissues. These are absorbed by photoreceptors in cells and trigger various biological processes that enhance skin quality. The wavelengths used in Dermalux LED are:
Blue light (415 nm): targets acne-causing bacteria to help clear skin and prevent breakouts.
Red light (633 nm): stimulates collagen production which reduces lines, wrinkles and sagging, calms inflammation and promotes skin healing.
Near-infrared light (830 nm): penetrates skin deeply to relieve pain, reduce inflammation and accelerate tissue repair.
During treatment, you simply lie under the Dermalux LED device and we’ll switch on the lights to get to work. It’s a very relaxing 30 minutes, which we recommend being repeated once a week for six weeks for best results!
What Does LED Light Therapy Treat?
LED light therapy is a great all-round treatment as it can be used to address so many concerns on all skin types. We invested in the Dermalux LED device as it is an award-winning brand with multiple clinical studies supporting its use.
Impressively, it’s medically CE certified to treat acne, psoriasis and rosacea. These are skin conditions that are generally difficult to shift and often have a huge impact on people’s confidence and self-esteem. Being able to offer a clinically-proven solution is hugely rewarding for us at Pure Perfection Clinic.
We also use Dermalux LED to treat:
Blemishes
Bruises
Burns
Dermatitis
Dry and dehydrated skin
Fine lines and wrinkles
Fungal skin conditions
Large open pores
Pigmentation, sun damage and age spots
Vitiligo
The great thing about Dermalux LED is that we can combine wavelengths in a single treatment, so we’re able to address multiple skin concerns simultaneously.
The only time LED light therapy is not recommended is if patients have particular sensitivities to light or are taking medication that can cause photosensitivity.
